TELECOMMUNICATIONS subscribers whose SIM cards have been deactivated or disconnected by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, have been urged to avail themselves of the opportunity for reconnection and reactivation of such lines. They should visit network service providers’ customer care centres, friendship centres or network operators’ offices to register.
The creation of the window for subscribers’ SIM Card Registration follows appeals by the National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers, NATCOMS, and Association of Licenced Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria, ALTON, to the Nigerian Communications Communications and the Ministry of Communications Technology, as well as the NTA Network live interview with Dr. Tony Ojobo of the NCC and Chief Deolu Ogunbanjo of NATCOMS.
A statement by NATCOMS national president, Chief Deolu Ogunbanjo, said the NCC window was now the only opportunity for subscribers all over the country to have their deactivated or disconnected SIM cards registered for reactivation and reconnection.
The statement said that already, Communications Service Providers, CSP’s were encouraging deactivated/disconnected subscribers to register their SIM Cards and get between N5,000 and N10,000 re-activation/re-connection bonus for on-net calls.
