NIGERIA: Police high command promotes 354 officers and men in Benue

MAKURDI— Over 355 officers and men of the Benue State Police Command were, yesterday, decorated with their new ranks in a mass promotion approved by the Police High Command.
Among the newly decorated officers was the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Daniel Ezeala, who now wears the rank of Superintendent.
Others who were also promoted included five Chief Superintendents, CSP, three Superintendents,  two Deputy Superintendents, 29 Assistant Superintendents, 69 Senior Inspectors, 97 Sergeants and 150 Corporals.
Addressing the officers at the Makurdi Police Officers Mess, the Assistant Inspector General, AIG, in charge of Zone 4, Adeleke Adeniji, enjoined the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Abubakar, by rededicating themselves to their duties.
He said: ”Your new ranks come with added responsibilities and it is incumbent on each and everyone of you to rededicate him or herself to work and also show greater commitment to duties.”
