About 4,000 par-ticipants are expected to grace the maiden international outdoor conference and exhibition organised by Lagos State government.
The conference, first of its kind in Africa, is tagged, â€˜Sign and Outdoor Conference and Exhibition Africa (Lagos 2014), and is expected to take place between June 22 and 27.
Managing Director, Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency, LASAA, Mr. George Noah, who disclosed this at a briefing in Lagos, yesterday, said about 300 exhibitors from 30 countries, drawn from Africa, Europe, Asia and America, would also take part in the conference and exhibition.
Noah said the conference was geared at creating a convergence of stakeholders within the out-of-home advertising industry.
According to him, it will focus on trends, best practices, innovations and challenges within the Nigerian and African context.
He added that conference participants would include advertising agencies, outdoor practitioners, media owners, signage fabricators, printers, advertisers, regulators, government officials, event companies, outdoor protection services, retailers, franchisees and marketing professionals.
â€˜â€™The objective is to provide a veritable platform for the growth and development of signage and outdoor advertising in Lagos State, Nigeria and Africa.â€
