2015: Ooni, Cleric Call for Renewed Prayer

A foremost traditional ruler in Yorubaland, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade, has called for renewed prayer for the country as the journey to the 2015 general election draws nearer.
The Ooni, who was in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where he inaugurated two new projects of the Hour of Mercy Prayer Ministry Worldwide, Ori-Oke Alaseyori, founded by a renowned cleric, Muhydeen Moses Kasali, said the country had turned upside down.
The monarch's position was also in tandem with the warning by Kasali to the ruling class, describing 2014 as a year of change of leaders.
He added that the "wind will blow some politicians away. I urge them to move more closer to God."
The Ooni, who congratulated the entire Alaseyori congregation and the people for the presence of the church in the city, said: "Only prayers can save Nigeria. It is upside down. This Prophet Moses is the Biblical Moses of Nigeria."
He described Kasali as a unique prophet ordained by God, saying "you will live long."
The monarch then implored Moses and other men of God like him to pray for the nation now more than ever before.
The Ooni then congratulated Kasali, his wife, Olubunmi, and the entire congregation for the seventh year convention of the church just as he volunteered to be a member of the church forthwith.
At the occasion were the Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mrs. Titi Laoye-Tomori, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Adedayo Adeoye (rtd), and his wife.
Others were the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Mr. Orubebe (rtd) and his wife, the Chairman, Akinyele Local Government Area, Abiola Ambali, Prof. and Mrs. Balogun, Prince Tokunbo Sijuade, Ooni's wife, Olori Morisola Sijuade, Hon.
