The Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan administration’s 3-point agenda has been described as the rallying point for socio-economic development which has impacted positively on lives of Deltans.
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Aniocha North Local Area and a Chairmanship aspirant of the Council, Mr. Ikechukwu Collins Uwagwu stated this in Issele-Uku. Mr. Uwagwu, who is gunning for the position under the platform of PDP, applauded the Governor for his visionary leadership, especially in the health, education and road/transportation sectors. Mr. Uwagwu maintained that his political ambition was geared towards leveraging the sufferings of the people of Aniocha North, adding that when he emerged as the Chairman of the Council, he would embark on programmes and policies that would fast track the development of the people.
The Chairmanship aspirant highlighted his developmental programme to include strengthening environmental sanitation, consistent maintenance of roads so as to create employment for the people, procurement of tractors and building of motor parks among others.
Mr. Uwagwu said that his administration would also ensure that the basic health needs of the grassroots is actualised by putting measures in place to boost the sector as well as ensure consistent monitoring of the activities of rural health care providers in the area.
He disclosed that during his University days, he had continued to canvass for the welfare of Aniocha North under the auspices of the Association of Aniocha North students where he held the position of the Secretary General of the Association, even as he enjoined the youths in Aniocha North to continue to be innovative as well as remain committed towards the growth and development of the area.
